Something happens to my soul when it fully
experience a large open space. A landscape
that seems to have no end in sight. 

A mountain side.

To have the opportunity to stand on top of a
mountain when everything is calm. It’s impossible
not to be present. 

I often try to recreate that emotion when I paint.
It’s a powerful and safe feeling, that doesn’t
compress me. Or sets a limit to what’s possible.

As long as I can, I want to be alone in that process.
Everything else has to wait.
